Niklas Johansen is a guitarist born in 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has received international recognition after winning several international competitions and awards, e.g. Léonie Sonning talent price 2018.

He has performed solo and chamber concerts in 20 countries around the world. He has been frequently invited to give concerts and master classes at well-known festivals across Europe, Russia and many parts of China.
In addition, he has recorded his debut CD in 2016 with the Italian label dotGuitar, the CD “Paganini // Piazzolla” in 2018 with Kehan ​​Zhang, and he has performed as a soloist for the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the Pleven Philharmonic (Bulgaria).

Niklas started playing guitar at the age of 9 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music under Jesper Sivebæk.

After passing his baccalaureate exam with the highest score possible, he went to Alicante in 2013 and completed his master's studies in classical guitar with professors David Russell, Manuel Barrueco and others. Niklas Johansen completed his master's studies with cum laude. In 2014, he went abroad for a year and studied with Ricardo Gallén at the Hochschule Für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany.
In 2015, he played his master's concerto in Denmark, receiving the highest score. He further developed his skills as an soloist with Jesper Sivebæk in Denmark and with Ricardo Gallén in Weimar.

Since 2022, he has been appointed as a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
